My name is Katie. I was born and raised in the great state of Wisconsin, and I spent my entire childhood living in the same city. Never content to be pinned down, I left my home state to go to college five hours away and feed my love of travel and new experiences. In my twenty-two years, I've traveled to thirty-two U.S. states and sixteen countries on five continents. I'm also an aspiring polyglot -- I speak English, Spanish, Arabic, and French, and every place I visit gives me the opportunity to pick up a new language.

My dream is to find a job that will pay me to travel and use my language skills. I can't get enough of adventure overseas. If I could have a few months and unlimited funding, I'd go wandering all over the globe, picking up languages, taking pictures, learning all about the culture of every country possible, and hiking the heck out of every trail I find. I started this blog so people can share in my travel adventures and pick up tips for having adventures of their own. Enjoy, and be bold!
